I was named Socrates because I am a great philosopher.  I ponder all sorts  of issues. I consider how much my entire body wags when I’m near the  special people in my life. My brain works overtime to learn when my humans  teach me house manners. I deliberate on all the fun games I can play with  the other dog in my home and the ones I see at the park. And  I speculate  that there is an unlimited amount of toys and chewies available to me.


Socrates is a medium-size friendly, easy-going, young fellow.  He is great  in the house, smart, fun, cuddly, and great with kids (he lives with three  of them in his foster home).  He is a fast learner and has quickly learned  to differentiate between the children’s toys (not to play with them!) and  his own.  He gets along great with other dogs. Whether you’re looking to
discuss the fundamentals of modern Western philosophy, take a long walk in  the woods, or cuddle on the couch, Socrates is your pup. (ER/CW*)
