Penny is an amazing dog. She is loving, loyal, protective and adoring. She absolutely loves children and other dogs, as long as they are friendly dogs. She is definitely a hound dog as she loves chasing birds and squirrels and even the occasional opossum. While she loves chasing them, we have never seen her actually catch one or cause harm to any creatures. She can be weary of new men at first, but she welcomes new women and children with a wagging tail and kisses. Once she is comfortable with anyone that she is unsure of at first, it's as if she was never unsure. Penny does not like car rides. She buries rawhide-type bones and has even buried a couple of toys that we have given her. She hasn't caught on to bringing a ball back once you throw it for her, but she loves chasing a ball and running around throwing it to herself; it is a very funny and heartwarming sight. She is not a big fan of baths, but absolutely loves being towel dried and brushed. She gets excited when she sees someone coming with a towel! She loves to be loved. She is not a jumper, and is a very good listener. Penny is a one in a million, perfect pet for anyone with a family and a big yard. Penny is house-broken, spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on all her shots. (TG)
