Tori was a stray that was picked up and brought to Nash County Shelter. RUFF worked with Promoting Animal Welfare who immediately got her to the vet and then to a RUFF foster home. Tori has a long road to recovery. She is heartworm and erlichia positive. She has very few teeth left. And she is young. Maybe, at most, she's five years old.
The vet gave her Sub Q fluids. She didn't have enough feces to do a full fecal but was prescribed Panacur to help get rid of worms. She has lots of broken and missing teeth. The vet also prescribing Purina EN canned food. She is on Doxycycline to for the heartworms, Erlichia, and her skin infection. She is being treated for the fleas and ticks.
Surprisingly her blood work isn't bad. Slight anemia but otherwise OK!
She's has started on the road to recovery. This girl has some serious medical bills ahead of her. But she is worth it. Let's show her how she deserves to be loved. Please consider donating to her medical bills. You can follow her progress on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NCRUFF/
