Hi; I’m PJ, and I’m a bichon frise/shih tzu mix looking for my forever home! I’m a 10-year-old snuggle bug looking for a family that doesn’t mind if I train them on a thing or two. First of all, I’m 100% house trained, and after I do my business outside I expect a treat! I’ll be happy to remind you about it if you forget, so keep that treat jar stocked please! Second, I will gladly be a good boy and bring you my ball. And when I do, then you give it a short toss across the room. I’ll go get it and bring it back so you can toss it again. Squeaky ball is my favorite toy! Third, I may gently paw at your hand, or burrow my head under your hand, to tell you I want to be petted. I like belly rubs and pets on my head, but I’m not into kisses. Don’t worry, I’ll have you trained up in no time!

I don’t like to be picked up, but I do like to snuggle up to you on the couch or in your bed. I like hanging out with you in the bed while you fall asleep, but once you’ve passed out, I’ll probably move to my doggie bed. In the morning, I just might jump back in bed to cuddle you while you snooze through your morning alarm. I wouldn’t leave you alone, I’ll follow you to any room in the house, and I don’t like when you leave me alone, either! I’ve got some separation anxiety (probably because of going to a new home after 10 years). I will probably bark a lot when you leave the house so no apartments for me. I’m looking for someone who will be home most of the day, and who can work with me while I get my bearings in a new forever home.
