Please allow Foster's time for review and complete the Due Diligence on the applications.

GUIDELINES FOR ADOPTION

  • must have a fenced in yard
  • Previous bloodhound ownership or experience with bloodhounds a MUST
  • Sorry no apartments.
  • ALL household pets (cats and dogs) must be spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, current on DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus)(dogs),  FVRCP (Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Feline Distemper)(cats), Bordetella and have a negative heart worm test.
  • If the pets were spayed/neutered or had vaccines done at a clinic, please make sure your current vet has all records.

NEEDS OF BLOODHOUNDS

  • Professional certified training needs for the next 18 months.
  • Regular outside socialization outside of the household pack

HEALTH ISSUES

  • Yeast infection in ears
  • Hip and elbow dysplasia
  • Cherry Eyes
  • Bloat
